A good year

Hups! Has been such a long time since I have been writing!
A lot of things have happened! I was in Tenerife, I went diving for the first time in my life, I had my first Christmas abroad without my family and I booked my trip to Thailand!!

TENERIFE
My trip to Tenerife was awesome!!! I spent 3 fantastic days with Sandra and Jesse and ofc all my nights in DEN GLADE VIKING!!!!! <3 It wasnt the same as in Bulgaria but you always have fun there, no metter wht!! We also went to this crazy " Farra Festival"! I cannot describe it with words, it was just amazing! A lot of people, good music, good friends and a lot of alcohol :D I wasnt just parting there ofc! The first day we rented a car and went around the island! We visit Telde and Los Gigantes and we had lunch in Puerto de la Cruz :) It was a very nice trip and I miss my sweetie very much! <3

DIVING:
Diving was so nice but I must say...it´s not my thing! We went diving in Puerto De Mogan. At first we were snorkeling for around 45 min, just to get used to the diving suit, than we had a lunch break and after that I was diving alone with my instructor. I was freaking out under the water and we were just 6 metres deep :D But I´m proud of myself, I didn´t give up and made it for 30 min :D I will definitely try it again in Thailand...

THAILAND:
Oujeah.. THAILAND!!! I have finally booked my ticket!!!!!! I´m so happy! In 41 days I will see again my DGVB and I will visit the places I have dream about for such a long time! I had such a good discount as a guide and for this I love my job even more! The hotel, White Peach, is a 3 stars hotel in Kata Beach, just 5 min walking from where Sandra live! I cannot wait! Now I just need to fix my vaccines and I m ready to go!!

CHRISTMAS:
Christmas in Gran Canaria was nice and sad at the same time. I had a good time but I also missed my family a lot. The 22/12 we had a very nice Xsmas party in Garbos! Tui offered us dinner and free bar! I loved the night! It was so cozy and I had such good company ;) I spent the Xsmas eve with Kasper and Tobias. Just a simple cozy night with my danish boys, some food, wine and we also watched a movie: The Holiday (my choice ofc). I will never forget this Christmas for sure :) <3

-------------------------------

I have been a guide already 234 days and here in LPA 96 days. It´s just crazy! And soon is time to apply again for a new destination...This summer I had a very clear idea to where to apply but now?! Omg...I really don´t know and I have less than 1 week to figure it out. I was so sure I wanted to apply for Sicily as a first choice and Sardinia as a second BUT I also want to see new places and challenge my self, that´s what keep life exciting, right? :) But of two things I´m pretty sure: apply with min bästa vän Sandra and  apply for Guide Online positions! I don´t care about the destination as long as I can have a nice season with Sandra again and do what I love the most! The funny thing is that I have also been thinking to apply to Alanya Guide Online... as a first choice hahah I know I´m crazy but if you think about it:  I didn´t want to go to Sunny Beach and I´m crazy in love with Bulgaria, I didn´t want to go to LPA and I m super happy here... so.... maybe it´s better to apply for a destination that you will never choose... a place for which you don´t have any expectations.... I will figure this out somehow :D

Tomorrow is the last day of this amazing 2014. No, I will not say " New Year, New Life" because I just love my life at the moment and I don´t wanna change anything of it! I will continue to be the real and happy version of myself that I finally became, thanks to GuideLife and thanks to the amazing people I have met this year!  I asked myself few questions:

Did you do anything in 2014 that you've never done before?
HELL YES! The world that will describe my 2014 is YOLO :D
- Drive a car
- Dive in the Atlantic Ocean
- Eat sushi
- Dance on the bar, Neosplash parties, PubCrawl, Party Boat
- Swim naked in the Black Sea at 4:00 AM
- Visit Bulgaria, Turkey, Cyprus and Gran Canaria
- All the things in my BOJ bucket list that it´s better not to report here :D

What date from 2014 you will always remember?
14/02/2014 the day I got my job for Tui Nordic
13/03/2014 the day I got my driver license
11/10/2014 the day I moved to Bulgaria
25/09/2014 the day I moved to Gran Canaria

The best person you met this year?
I met so many people during this year that is very hard to say! My DGVB #11 is my number one ofc. I spent so many crazy moments with her, we cried, we laugh, we got drunk, we hated together the same persons, we supported each other and we still do it also if we are miles away from each other. Sandra I miss and love u so much! Thank you for being such a good friend!
Other people I need to thank for this amazing year are Sweet Sandra and Kasper! I had with them great moments, we shared together so much and I know we will be there for each other for a long time :)

Who did you miss?
Everybody knows how much I love guidelife but ofc I miss home. Both of them, Sicily and Finland. Sometimes I also miss my old life, with a normal job, a good salary, a family... stability I will say! But when I start to think like that I remember why I wanted this job so much and what was wrong before and the only thing I miss is my family :)

What do you expect from 2015?
Well... I don´t have any expectation actually. I learned to live day by day but I have few things I would like to do next year:
- Visit Thailand
- Apply for Mexico
- Try Surfing
- Be at my good friend wedding in Sicily
- Open my heart to all the ones that deserve it and .... just be happy <3
Easy things right?
My advice for 2015?
DON´T DREAM YOUR LIFE PEOPLE, JUST LIVE YOUR DREAMS! TAKE THE CHANCE!
IT´S WORTH IT!

Say what?

Exactly one month ago, I was sitting at the airport in Helsinki, waiting for my flight, exited and scared at the same time, full of thoughts about this new adventure in LPA ... and now?I have been here already 1 month! SAY WHT??I can not believe it!Time has gone so fast and  I really feel like home here!!! Gran Canaria is different of wht I thought it will be... in a good way ofc...A lot to see, nice colleagues and you can actually live a normal life here...Cook, go to the gym, go out, see a movie...I have actually been thinking that Gran Canaria will be a very nice place to live in. I could easily move here...I just need to find a job and a spanish man :D
Sandra will kill me for wht I´m about to say BUT I think I found a touch of Sunny Beach here this week!!heh If you just want, you can party ALMOST as crazy as in Sunny! :D And I did...ou jeah I did...Let´s just say that it´s good I don´t remember half of the night!! :D
But ok, like I said, I like LPA but still, is nothing compared to BOJ :D This week I was looking at  my BOJ photos and I found this one! I almost started to cry! We had an amazing season in Bulgaria and I really miss Sandra and our nights out! :(

I think you can just feel my happiness from this message... We actually have been thinking to apply again for BOJ S15 :D But there is a lot of things we need to think about!
Like for example:
- We don´t want to ruin our memories of last summer
- I just started to work out again...In SB? Not possible
- I´m maybe already to old for SB? :D
But let´s see :D
------------------
Work has been hard but very very very nice!!! I just love it!!! It´s busy but challenging and it was just wht I needed!!You don´t even have the time to watch your clock! You sit at 7:45 and next time you breathe and look at the time is already 17!!The days go very fast because I have finally something to do and to learn! And the service phone? Oooh here it ring every night :D Yes, also the Finnish one :D Is sooooo true when they say that after Guide Online LPA you can manage everything and, in my opinion, not just in the Tui´s world but you learn stuff that will help you in life and in future jobs with other companies!! We also have a good team and it helps a lot... when you are busy and stressed the team spirit is the thing that help you going and make it until the end of the day!
This weeks we also studied two very nice excursions! Jeep&Camel safari and Garbos show! The excursions here are so nice and you really want to sell it to the guest to give them a nice experience and beautiful memories of this island :)

--------------
Here in my freetime I´m trying to do as much as I can! I work out at least 2 times a week and yesterday I finally went to the pool! First time I´m swimming and sunbathing here woop woop! I´m thinking about to go diving and surfing in the next months and also I´m planning my week-end trip to Tenerife to see my loves!!!!! <3

I also got my vacation days 8/2 - 22/2!!! Woop Woop! Soon I will start to plan my trip to THAILAND <3

Wht about my life with my roomies? Mmm is not easy  :D but still, I´m very happy to live with them also if sometimes they do staff like this....
Yes, that´s Kasper...
Yes, that´s my bed...
Yes, that´s my macbook air...
Yes, he is wearing  my glasses...
NO, I did NOT tell him to do it!!! :D
-----------
New week is about to start with new adventures,  new person to meet and new feelings to try!!!
So I think I will start my week thinking like this!!!

HASTA LUEGO!

Studytime is over!!!!!

This second week in this island has been better than the first... New people came and we visited so many beautiful places like Puerto Rico, Playa de Amadores and Puerto de Mogán! <3 If you ever come to Gran Canaria these are the places to see :) Especially Puerto de Mogán! There is a lot of local people there and a very special atmosphere that I can not describe in words :) <3 Just lovely!

But studytime in Gran Canaria is over now and yesterday was time for my first day of work in this island!! The first Finnish flight landed around 12 and tomorrow we will have the second arrival and next week???! 7 more flights woop woop! So exited!! A little bit different than in Sunny Beach where we had 1 flight/week:D In these two days I did and learned more than in 3 weeks in SB :D ofc I still don't know a lot of things but I just need to give myself some time...I will learn everything, no stress :) And the colleagues and the managers are so good and nice that you can always count on them :) That´s just perfect in this kind of job! :)
My roomies are now here so I'm not living alone anymore! :D For now everything is good! They are good guys a little bit messy maybe but they are guys soooo nothing you can do about it :D Kasper has bring the PS3 with him from home so they spent a lot of time just playing FIFA while I can watch movies and tv-series and have time by myself, and relax!sooo nice :D

Yesterday they had a boys night out so I just took my wine and went to casa the guias with Rosa :D When I came home the boys where gone and the apartment was a mess! But since I´m very nice, I clean up everything so the boys could have a nice hungover day today without the need to clean :) Kasper came home around 4AM and he was sooo drunk! haha He came into my room and hide under the bed and said staff like "Look Elina, I´m invisible" !! :D I was almost dying for laughing so much :D

Fit season started well!! I'm so proud of myself :D I also have a good PT! :p I'm going with Kasper to the gym so he can learn me some exercises :) It will be good for me training with him but during the season will be almost impossible!I´m also eating quite healthy but sometimes is good to reward yourself with something good right? So I have been eating a little bit of candies, I tried a very good Nestea and Froyo with nutella :D!! Nam nam! :P

Today we visited Palmitos Park before my GuideOnline shift :) It was sooo nice! Love the dolphines!!!! <3

Tonight and tomorrow I´m having the servicephone so...
 wish me luck :D

Gran Canaria: First impressions

Hola a todos!
I´m finally in Gran Canaria woop woop! I have been here already a week!! It´s crazy how time goes fast! The trip was loooooong! From Helsinki to Stockholm, from Stockholm to Copenhagen and from Copenhagen 5h 30min to Las Palmas! The flight was also 45min late but fortunately the trip went fast. I had my new mac book air with me so I watched The Big Bang Theory for 5 hours :D
My manager came  to pick me up at the airport and all my luggage arrived in LPA jippii :) During the car drive she told me that I will live with Kasper and another danish guy woop woop! Is me and the danish guys this winter! :D  She also told me I will live in Kentya and that is just 5 min walking from the office! Nice! I knew that the apartments here are better than of what we were used to in Sunny Beach but... OMG! When I saw the apartment  :O

Everything is new!! The beds, the kitchen the toilets!! We have washing machines and also a dryer!! Awesome!! And my room... ooooh is sooo nice! I bought candles and new sheets from Ikea and when I got my new salary I will buy something more just  to make it more cozy! <3

                                                    ---------
This island is huge and there is a lot to know comparing to SB! I have been here a week but I still feel like I don´t know anything! I´m  kind of lost and my mind is still in Sunny Beach for some reason! Hope is normal :S  I´m a little bit scared because learning stuffs in SB was quick and easy! It´s gonna take time here but I hope I will soon fit in this place and in my new team :) It´s always hard at the beginning I guess... I really miss my friends and colleagues from SB! Here you need to start all over again and sometimes I feel just like I don´t have the strength to do it! But soon or later everything will be in the right place... or I really hope so :) And Mr. Sørensen is coming on Friday so I will have a piece of SB with me!

Saturday we had our first night out!! It was fun and different :D No disco and no buckets just tapas and sangria in Pica Pica and after that karaoke time in an Irish Pub :D But it was really nice, the night went so fast and TG I had a day off on Sunday :D Goodbye hungover-free nights! That was possible just in Sunny Beach <3 :D
Monday I also started my new healthy life!! I bought a gym card and I started to eat better! My legs are still hurting after the first work-out! I really am in a bad shape! I hope I´m able to go the the gym tomorrow :D

I must say that for now, everything looks pretty good and I really hope thing will go just better and better :)

Hasta luego!!

Holidays @Helsinki&Stockholm

I spent the last 4 days with my DGVB <3   We had so much fun in Helsinki and Stockholm <3

Helsinki:
I flight from Kuopio in the morning and arrived in HEL around 13 o'clock. It was very warm! Like 19 degrees and sun shining! Just perfect :) Before the take off I got an sms from Jesse! He was in the train from Vaasa and he was also coming to Helsinki to party with us!! jeah! Sunny Beach reunion! Jesse arrived at 17 o'clock and we decided to met in the station and wait for Sandra there. But nothing goes always as you planned and you know what happened? Sandra lost her luggage... AGAIN! They lost her luggage also when she was traveling from Burgas to Sweden! Not such a good luck! The worst thing was that her viking bucket was in the bag and that the shops closed at 18:00 so she didn't have time to buy clothes for the night! But we are guides, we have a good attitude and we know how to solve the problems so... we went to the supermarket and we bought a lot of alcohol :D We prepared all the ingredients for the Hockey and the party was ready to start. Granadine, Vodka, Sprite, Enegy drink and ofc my original viking bucket!

Making the bucket was easy, we just used the method that "my favourite bartender" told me...we counted the amount of alcohol in seconds and not in cl :D That was a good way to make it :D But after a while I think we had some problems counting :D  (like all the bartenders in DGV :p)

This is what happened with the vodka....

and this is the result of drinking it .....

I loved every second of that night or at least the ones I can remember! But I must say that the bars in Helsinki are quite boring! Bartenders are sober, old and not so good looking and is not allowed to dance on the table! buuu! But thank you Sandra, Mira and Jesse! It was an awesome night!

The day after I wanted to show a little bit of Helsinki to Sandra! We were tired but not hungover, so we took the bus to the centre and sit for a while at the Senate Square, where the beautiful Helsinki Cathedral is! We visited the market square where they sell traditional Finnish food and souvenirs, the Esplanad Park, the orthodox church and walked in the main shopping street Aleksanterinkatu <3

I know Helsinki quite well since I worked as a sightseeing bus hostess for long time but there was something new in the city that I did't know about! The "Finnair SkyWheel" and the "Bad bad boy" sculpture.

After some researches I discovered that the statues is a Tomi Toija´s sculpture that was a part of the sculptor´s exhibition called Mutatis Mutandis! mmm I really like art but this one? I don´t get it :D Need to speak with someone who can explain it to me because all I see is a boy peeing in the sea :D
We needed to be at home at 18:30 because they were bringing Sandra´s luggage (yes they found it and the viking bucket is safe juhuu), so we took some Starbucks "refresha" sparkling green coffee, popcorns and chocolate and we went home to watch some movies and just relax!

Stockholm:
Next day the alarm rang at 4:45 and we catch the airplane for Stockholm at 9:05. Stockholm was beautiful as alway but OMG it was cold! It was raining like crazy when we arrived :D We went straight to the hotel to put our luggage and it was a nice surprise. The hotel, Fridhemsplan Hotel & Hostel AB, was lovely and clean BUT they were making some renovation works so from 9 to 16 was very noisy!

We were so tired that we fall asleep also with the loud noise and when we woke up was already 14 o'clock! Since it was raining we decided to go to a shopping mall in Kista! We made some crazy shopping there hups! But we needed all that stuff we bought.... or?  -_-  In the evening we went back to the hotel to relax a little bit and we put a very nice chocolate and blueberry facemask just to get more in the relaxing mood! We are soooo beautiful, don´t you think? :D

Than we went out for dinner with Robin, the guy I met in Sunny Beach this summer! We had some very healthy food in a place I can´t remember the name :D and a very good time! It was so nice meet him again!!! Thank you Robin for being such a good person to me! Hope to see you soon <3

Next day we went to the city centre, had breakfast, swedish "fika" and did some more shopping!  I just love Sweden and I really think I can move there after guidelife :D <3 In the late afternoon was time to say goodbye to my DGVB! :( It was hard but I know that no matters how far we are we will always keep in touch! Love you  Sandra <3
........

And tomorrow? Tomorrow is time for Gran Canaria! So afraid and so excited at the same time!             I really don't know what to expect! But maybe is a good thing going there without any expectation! Keep the fingers cross for me!
Hasta la próxima!!!!!
